Thomas Bauer

Thomas graduated in Physics at the University of Vienna and worked as a scientist for the CMS project at CERN. He then decided to switch entirely to IT.

Thomas has more than ten years of experience in software development using a range of technologies. Since 2004, he has developed and marketed independent Mac applications as freeridecoding.

After moving to New Zealand, Thomas worked with customers in broadcast and post-production and has written a number of Mac and iOS applications to integrate new products with existing systems or extend the functionality of a workflow.

Most recently, Thomas has developed AssetKit, a Cocoa Framework to natively access Final Cut Server and ClipTouch, the Final Cut Server client for iPad.

When he is not working, Thomas enjoys good Wellington coffee and spends time with his wife NoaNoa and their three boys.

Tim Benson

Tim graduated in Chemical and Process Engineering at the University of Canterbury and immediately switched to a career in IT. Tim has more than ten years experience in the IT industry.

He worked in the UK as Technical Director at a leading design agency, where he deployed servers, storage and networks to support the creative workgroups behind brands including Aston Martin, the BAR Formula One Team and the Subaru World Rally Team.

In New Zealand, Tim has architected and delivered large and complex projects in the 24/7 broadcast, and feature-film post-production sectors. Recent projects include significant storage area networking and archiving deployments, and highly customised Final Cut Server asset management and workflow automation systems.

When he is not working, Tim is chilling out with his wife Heidi and daughter Harriet, and is looking forward to the next Jess Chambers' concert.
